IUCN Asian Specialist Group

The Members

The AsESG consist of 128 specialists from 21 countries across the globe as members of the group with diverse skill sets. Apart from the members, the Group also has Ex-officio officials from all Range States nominated by the Ministry looking after elephant conservation in the country.

The Group is chaired by Ms. Heidi Riddle, Dr. A. Christy Williams is the Deputy Chair, and Ee Phin Wong is the Vice Chair for SE Asia. Dr. Varun Goswami is the AsESG Red List Coordinator.
